• Latina Business Accelerator

  • Mexicana Emprende is a program supporting Mexican women living abroad. This program is delivered in partnership with the Mexican Consulate in Atlanta, the Coalition of Latino Leaders (CLILA Dalton), and the Thunderbird School of Global Management.

It utilizes the DreamBuilder curriculum developed by the Thunderbird School of Global Management complemented by weekly workshops and individualized consulting.

In 2022 Mexicana Emprende launched 2 cohorts, one in Atlanta and for the first time ever one in Dalton serving the Latino community in North West Georgia.

The program culminates with a pitch competition for a grand prize of $4,000 that includes Seed Capital and a new website.

The winner was selected by a local group of Latin business and community leaders turned investors. A 100% of their investment directly supports the competition winners.

Nearly 90 Latina entrepreneurs applied to participate in this program, and after a rigorous selection process that included an interview with each applicant 20 participants were selected for the two cohorts.

In addition to the classes and workshops, the program includes technical assistance and one-on-one consulting with subject matter experts for all the participants.
