  • The MABC is now LACC Georgia

  • The Mexican American Business Chamber is changing with a new regional initiative for the Southeast

Founded in 1998, the Mexican American Business Chamber is today one of the largest Latino organizations in Georgia. As a non-profit organization, the purpose of the MABC has been to foster success through economic development initiatives that facilitate the creation and development of business ventures and also to foster relationships between Latino and Non-Latino businesses, associations, individuals and government.

For the last 13 years, our focus has always been to serve our members and the Latino Business Community in Georgia.

Today the Latino population in Georgia represents 8.8% of the population of the state; over 853,000 people are Latinos in Georgia. At the same time, the Southeast has become the region with the fastest growing Latino population in the country.

The current situation of the economy in Georgia and the Southeast continues to present challenges for the Latino business community, but at the same time is creating new opportunities.

We believe that Latinos in the Southeast share the same entrepreneurial spirit that has helped create many new Latino businesses in Georgia, with great contributions to the economy of the State and the region.

The MABC Board of Directors recognizes this challenges and opportunities and has made a decision for the MABC to move in a new direction to benefit our members and the Latino Business Community of Georgia and the Southeast.

We are pleased to announce a new strategic partnership with the Latin American Chamber of Commerce of Charlotte (LACC Charlotte), a leader in the Latino business community in North Carolina.

From this partnership we are launching a new regional initiative:

The Latin American Chamber of Commerce of the Southeast

    (LACC Southeast)

This regional initiative will allow us to partner with other Latino Business organizations in our region to share knowledge and to bring new business opportunities to our members.

As part of this new regional initiative, the MABC has changed its name and image to:

We believe that this change and our new image will better reflect who we are and whom we serve. For our members, this partnership means that they will now have access to a wealth of new resources, contacts and business opportunities.

In the next few weeks you will see many changes as we incorporate our new name and image in everything that we do.

But one thing will not change, our commitment to serve the Latino Business Community and our focus to bring new business opportunities and benefits to our members.

We hope that you will join us and participate in our coming events and programs; we will have many new opportunities to network and do business with the Latino community in Georgia and the Southeast that you don't want to miss.
